The ALBC Commemorative Coin is sold out. It was available for order on the U.S. Mint’s Web site. The pure silver coin was available as a proof coin (mirror-like background) and as an uncirculated coin (more satiny background).
For the first 30 days after the coin goes on sale (beginning Feb. 12, 2009), they can be purchased for $37.95 (proof) and $31.95 (uncirculated) each. A $10.00 surcharge on each coin, which is included in the cost quoted, benefits the ALBC.
